Open to RN, LPN, MD, PT and representatives from industry who are interested in expanding their knowledge of wound care, the four-day Current Concepts in Skin Care and Wound Management course is designed to address the theoretical concepts covered on the American Academy of Wound Management's Certified Wound Care Associate Exam (CWCA). For more information regarding clinical requirements for this certification, please visit the Academy's website. In addition to the four-day course, an optional one-day, $200 workshop entitled Ostomy 101: Basics of Ostomy Care will be held on Friday, August 29 and Friday, December 12, 2008. All courses meet in RM AT730 of The Emory Clinic A, 1365 Clifton Rd., NE, Atlanta, GA 30322-1013. The minimum enrollment of eight students per course must be reached before the particular course dates can be confirmed. Optional One-Day Basics of Ostomy Care Workshop: August 29, 2008 A minimum payment of $200 is due upon application (the registration form is included with the attached brochure) for both the four-day course and the one-day workshop. An additional $800 is due on-or-before the first day of the four-day course. If the minimum number of students is not met within four weeks before the course is to begin, the $200 fee will be returned. If the course is confirmed and the student does not attend, the $200 will be kept as a cancellation fee.
