The Emory University Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Education Center provides both accredited post-baccalaureate programs and continuing education programs.
The accredited WOC Nursing Education Program prepares the graduate to provide specialty care for patients with acute and chronic wounds, standard and continent diversions, and fecal and urinary incontinence. The center provides three separate courses that have been accredited by the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses Society (WOCN) since 1976: skin and wound care, ostomy and continent diversion management, and management of urinary and fecal incontinence. These courses are also approved by the Georgia Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's COA.
The Emory WOCNEC also provides continuing education courses in wound care, ostomy care, and foot and nail care.
