Richard R. Ricketts, MD, directs the division, which provides comprehensive pediatric surgical care to infants, children and adolescents. Division faculty perform trauma surgery, airway and GI endoscopy, laparoscopic and thoracoscopic procedures, oncologic surgery, surgery for neonates, ECMO and a full range of general surgical procedures at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston as the surgical component of the Emory Children's Center. Division surgeons also provide surgery at Grady Memorial Hospital and offer consultations at Emory Crawford Long Hospital, Dekalb Medical Center and Emory Eastside Medical Center. Faculty research interests include lung injury, pediatric critical care, and advanced laparoscopic procedures in infants and children.
