Dr. Veeraswamy specializes in carotid stenting, carotid endarterectomy, and the treatment of aortic aneurysms, thoracic outlet syndrome, and peripheral vascular disease.
In late 2012, Dr. Veeraswamy and Dr. Yazan Duwayri performed Georgia's first implantation of the Zenith® Fenestrated Endovascular Graft, which had just been FDA-approved as a minimally invasive treatment option for patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) that possessed an aneurysm anatomy that was incompatible with currently available endovascular devices.
In 2015, Dr. Veeraswamy joined Dr. Duwayri as Co-PI of the Emory site in a multi-center trial to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Zenith® p-Branch® device for the treatment of pararenal aortic aneurysms. Unlike the earlier Zenith graft, the p-Branch device does not need to be customized for the patient and is able to treat aneurysms that extend to the level of the superior mesenteric artery.
